Full description
This simple soap dish is made from beech sourced from the Peak District National Park, UK. These are part of our 'Off-Cut' range of products.
As we process timber for furniture making we also inevitably create off-cuts. These are short or narrow pieces of perfectly good timber, and the best use of these up until now has been firewood.
However, we noticed that a significant proportion of these off-cuts are of a size that could be useful, with a bit of imagination. We set them aside for a few weeks and got to thinking about designs.
This soap dish is 115mm long, 75mm wide and 20mm thick. A regular set of grooves allows water to drain away. It is finished in raw linseed oil, which protects the wood and gives it a beautiful colour.
The image shows an example soap dish. What you receive will be randomly chosen from the soap dishes we have in stock. All our off-cuts are dispatched in biodegradable padded envelopes.
