I make these driftwood hearts to give my hands a break from the sharp pieces of glass that I deal with everyday when making the garden mosaics. I love driftwood and have always collected it and because I live near the sea and try to walk there most days to clear the cobwebs I am burying my house with it so now I create decorations, suspend it from the ceiling studded with icicles of stained glass, climb plants up the longer pieces and generally have it in every room of the house. These driftwood hearts look super in any setting and are always an eye catcher and make a particularly unusual present for anyone not living near the sea. They are backed with MDF and have a hole for easy hanging. This small one measures 17 x 30cm and weighs 600g.
