An original pewter repoussage design by Rachael Mendel, based on the ancient and universal Tree of Life, the symbol for interconnectedness of life.
No moulds or machines were used in creating this one-off piece, as it is based on original drawings by the artist.
The material is the soft, malleable but long lasting tin amalgam pewter, which has been shaped, repoussaged, traced and polished to reproduce an original ballet shoe drawing.
Inspired by techniques popularized in South Africa, this piece has been crafted in the Midlands by a British artist.
This original piece comes with the dark wooden frame with the following dimensions:
Frame: 12" by 10" Pewter: Approx. 8" by 6"
