This large bag is completely hand crafted. It is made using a firm 1.6mm matt black leather. The leather itself is slightly thinner than usual on a bag of this size and therefore the bag is not so heavy. It will soften up and crease beautifully with use.
The bag has then been hand stitched with waxed linen thread using a saddle stitch.
‘Saddle stitch’ is used by saddlers and harness makers. Two needles are attached to the same thread and the article is stitched from both sides simultaneously, each stitch being pulled tight and knotted. This gives great strength to seams and should one stitch ever break the stitching will not ‘run’.
Dimensions.
The 2" (5cm) wide strap is adjustable up to 60" (150cm).
The bag has two compartments each measureing 15½" (39.5cm) wide by 10" (25.5cm) high by 2" (4.5cm) deep
There is a slim internal pocket to the centre division that is 8" (20cm) wide x 6"(15cm) deep) and closes with press studs.
The straps go all around the bag allowing you to close the bag should you need to fit anything larger than usual in there.
This bag would make a beautiful present for someone special or just spoil yourself with a unique, one-off bag that will last a lifetime and then some.
