A much used expression in our house is 'Pigs Might Fly'. Well, sometimes they do, especially here on Planet Penny! I have one looking to fly to a new home, a good reminder of the possibilities of realising one's dreams.
He is needlefelted in Merino wool which I dye myself, and embellished with hand dyed Blue-faced Leicester Yarn and has a hanging loop on the back. He would make a lovely gift for a nursery of playroom, safely out of reach!
Every thing I make is individually made and completely unique. The pig is approximately 16cm/6.5inches long and come complete with a pretty beribboned gift bag.
Needlefelting is a labour intensive method of dry felting using a barbed needle which turns the soft fluffiness of carded fleece into a firm woollen sculpture.
This is a collectors' item, not a toy.
