Full description
This stained glass hanging is based on a Celtic Cross, although it was made on the Anglo-Saxon Isle of Wight!
The vivid yellow of the cross is a textured glass which adds a sparkle and brightness to the central cross motif. This stands out against the blue and green background. The blue glass is hand made in its turn, from the English Antique Glass company in Birmingham.
The glass for this roundel was cut by hand tools and it was assembled using traditional leading. It measures just under 26 cm across. It has two wire rings soldered eyes for hanging; it looks best at a sunny window.
Made with lead, so this item is unsuitable for children.
