This gorgeous notebook has been lovingly re-crafted from an old award winning game ‘Scotland Yard’, made in 1983 by Ravensburger.
The front and back covers of these journals are made from the game board, and feature London streets and landmarks in black and white.
The book measures 4 ½” (15cm) wide by 8 ½”” (22cm) tall. Within there are 100 pages of blank white 80 gsm paper making a total of 200 blank sides. The notebook has been hand sewn together using a strong black coloured waxed linen thread using a Coptic stitch. This form of hand-made bookbinding allows the book to lie flat when opened, making it easier to draw and write. There is an elasticated closure to keep everything neat and tidy.
Please note that the notebook which you will receive has different London landmarks from those shown in the photograph, including The Tower of London, The Bank of England, The Barbican, Covent Garden, Fleet Street and Victoria Embankment. The inside covers are in colour, featuring Hyde Park, Madame Tussaud’s and the Lord’s Cricket Ground.
This special journal has lots of space for making notes and sketches, doodles, perfect for capturing ideas and thoughts on the move. It would make an ideal travel journal or holiday notebook.
