In this bumper bag of bits and pieces you will find
15 swatches of synthetic fabrics
10 novelty yarns (3m of each)
5 assorted buttons

The fabric swatches include:
two shades of red (one voile, one crystal organza)
navy voile
purple crystal organza
pink voile
lime green voile
bright yellow voile
all approx 30x30cm (some bigger, some smaller)
The other swatches measure approx 20x20cm (some bigger, some smaller) and include
pink voile with silver stars
gold and pink sparkle lamme
plain green tulle
bright green tulle with silver through it
two shades of turquoise tulle
white crazy mesh
There are ten different novelty yarns in a wide range of colours and varieties including eyelash yarn with sparkle through it, two chunky mixed yarns that I got in the west of Ireland and knitting ribbon in glorious two tone blue.
The beads include:
four swirly pressed Czech glass circles with an iridescent finish
three beautiful flattish shell tear drops with a drilled hole at the pointed end
one green and one brown glass tear drop with an iridescent finish to one side and a hole drilled all the way through top to bottom
one lovely glass heart with a little rose on it
one two tone green swirl and
one large green glass bead.
This pack is ideal for those who love to try out new materials as there is lots to play with. You can use these bits for card making, ACEO's and ATC's, textile art projects, journal making, fibre art, mixed media projects and much much more.
This is a perfect pack for those looking to experiment with the needle felting embellisher machine. All these fabrics work really well with the machine as do the novelty yarns.
You can make use of these bits with only limited sewing machine skills. Try placing snippets of some of the sparkley fabrics between two layers of voile and securing into an embroidery hoop. Use free machine embroidery to hold everything together and make a surface pattern. Even lines of straight stitch and zigzag stitch will do. You can then cut the resulting piece up and make whatever you want with it.
These fabrics also respond well to the heat gun. You can get lovely distressed effects which can be over stitched and decorated with beads etc.
The novelty yarns can be couched onto a background of layered fabrics to add interesting texture. They can also be stitched onto felt. A simple spiral design can make a lovely brooch.
