Full description
I fell in love with the fantastic colours of this yarn made by King Cole: deep magenta, striking peacock blue, burnt orange, and lovely burgundy, grey and olive green to link them together. I think it works really well in this simple bag pattern so you can see the colour changes to great effect. The crochet flower with beads sets it off perfectly. Like many of my designs, the lining is recycled. There is a magnetic fastener to keep all your belongings safe inside.
The bag is handknitted in King Cole 'Riot' yarn which is 30% wool and 70% acrylic and has a slight fluffy halo. The retro flower is crocheted in Colinette 'Jitterbug' which is 100% merino. The pink satin lining (100% polyester) is recycled from my daughters' old princess dressing-up costume!
The bag is a rectangle 19cm (7.5in) wide and 25cm (9.5in) high, and the strap is 90cm (36in) long so it can be worn across the body. As it is made of knitted fabric, the strap may stretch in use.
Please handwash and dry flat to keep your bag looking lovely.
All my designs are my own, and are unique. I promise not to make another one the same! (though I would love to make one a slightly different shape with a peacock blue lining if I can get some suitable fabric..)
