Full description
This candle is poured into a vintage cup and saucer - sadly unmarked, so we don not know it's provenance, but estimated to be at least 70 years old.
The decoration is truly beautiful, being mainly gilt stylised flowers, accented with adorable turquoise hearts.
The cup itself measures 7.5cm in height, and 8cm in diameter across the top, while the saucer has a diameter of 14cm.
The candle is 100% pure EcoSoya wax, which comes from a fully sustainable resource, is biodegradable, and burns cleanly with no soot or smoke.
The wax has been left in it’s natural colour of light ivory, and has a beautiful silky and creamy appearance. You can choose the scent of your candle from : rose, lavender, jasmine, sweet pea, mandarin & mimosa, bergamot, apple, raspberry or vanilla. PLEASE STATE YOUR CHOICE WHEN YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER with a "message to seller".
A further benefit of using EcoSoya wax is that any spills can be cleaned easily with hot soapy water – as can your gorgeous cup and saucer, leaving you with a true collector’s piece of vintage crockery to either display, or to use.
As with any true vintage item, the condition of this cup and saucer reflect their age and usage over the years. We rate the condition of this cup and saucer as "good" bearing some wear to the gilt, and a little crazing to the glaze, commensurate with it's age.
