This turned out shepherd’s crook is hand carved and shaped from a very traditional wood, Yew.
Ideal for walkers, hikers or just taking the dog to the park. It is hard wearing and strong and will become a trusted friend for life.
Yew trees have since ancient times been associated with mystical traditions for good health and fortune. The handle is mounted on a Hazel staff with a mixture of Tulip, Ikua and Mahogany wood spacers. The finished crook has been oiled and polished to release the natural beauty of the grain. The polish will improve with use.
The Crook is 49” (123cm) tall and is fitted with a brass ferule. The Crook can be shortened to your height before despatch if needed. Just stand upright and measure from your breast bone to the floor approximately six inches in front of you and quote this length when ordering.
