Full description
I have always adored wildlife. I can sit and watch the birds in my garden or when I'm walking for ages. There's something marvellous about birds' nests. If you have ever had the chance to put your hand under an egg laying chicken on its nest, it's unforgettabble; soft and warm.
I thoroughly enjoyed collecting the yarns and wool fibres I needed to make this nest look realisitic. I have also added a few natural twigs. It is the first one I have made, but I shall be making more as I so enjoyed it.
It is free standing on some lichen covered twigs and the nest is lined with real feathers. I painted the eggs to make them look like Robin's eggs. It measures 13 cms across the top and 5.5 cms. high. Great fun.
