I have had some of my photographs turned into postcards by MOO.
The quality is exceptional - they are mini works of art in themselves. MOO says of the paper stock:
This is a thick 350gsm, sustainably sourced paper stock, with a glossy laminate finish one one side. The other side is lightly coated with a faint satin finish, making it easier to write your own message. The paper stock for these Postcards is acid and lignin free.
Dimensions are 105mm x 148mm (4.13" x 5.82").
Gravesend Town Pier is the world’s oldest surviving cast iron pier, built in 1834 it is a unique structure with the first known iron cylinders used for its foundation. The pier was completely refurbished in 2004 and now has upon it a bar and restaurant. There is access for the public to the pier head when the premises are open.
My family and I decided at the last minute to have a weekend in Gravesend. It was close enough to pop out to for an overnight stay, and we knew Pocahontas was buried in St George’s Churchyard, which was enough reason to choose Gravesend as a destination: a walk down from St George’s and we discovered the pier – how wonderful!
It was a beautiful day to be out and about – and of course, taking advantage of the fact of my ever-present camera, I came away with a lot of lovely shots.
You can see the Gravesend-Tilbury Passenger ferry, plus working ships and Tilbury Power Station – the predominance of blue in the photo is a happy coincidence – for which I am very grateful!
When purchased, this print will be posted in a card-backed envelope, for added protection.
