Something old, something new........ Why not incorporate both into your bridal gown?
This one of a kind dress has been lovingly upcycled into a truly unique garment with a hint of Baroque beauty, a wonderful dress for any bride to be.
Using vintage raw silk (best guess '50s or '60s textile) in ivory, this was a 1980's style tea length dress.
I have given it a new lease of life, removing the '80s fuss and flounces and adding a full length underskirt in pale gold taffeta and some new pale gold flowers with glass pearl beadwork. The silk roses are original.
The dress also features a sweetheart neckline with straps that sit delicately on the shoulder. Fully lined and lightly boned bodice above a pleated overskirt and underskirt, both fully lined. Fastens with a concealed zip at the side.
Will best fit a 34"/87cm bust and 27"/69cm waist.
The length is long, 48"/122cm from natural waistline to hem, longer at the back to give a modest train.
The under skirt can be shortened if necessary, you will need to have the gown fitted with the shoes you will be wearing on the day so I don't offer this service.
Your gown will come carefully packaged in a dress bag and then wrapped and boxed to protect it during transit. Shipping by trackable means only.
