Garnet occurs in every colour except for blue and most varieties are named for their colour, they can be found in Arizona - USA, South Africa, Austraila, Burma, Scotland - UK, and Tanzania to name but a few.
Legend and folklore states that garnet gemstones have healing powers, and is often worn to relieve inflammation of the skin and is also believed to regulate the heart and blood flow.
