Full description

The handle of this unique shaving brush is made from borosilicate glass (often known by the trade name of 'Pyrex') and had been entirely handformed by melting glass directly in a superhot gas/oxygen flame.

Inside the top of the brush I have put two jellyfishes, the deeper on is a black/blue with large white spots, and the larger one nearer the surface is an unusal pale peachy/amber colour, the top being darker than the skirt. To mimic sea depth at the bottom I have put bands of rich and pale blues and greens, with the odd patch of cream/light brown to mimic foam and seaweed, and in the bottom a 'gravel' effect of beige, creams and greens.

The glass handle is around 38mm long, and just under 27mm at the widest point. I have flattened the top so it can be stood up for drying. The hair is badger, with a nickel final.

As the glass is entirely handformed, and quite a large weight of glass, please be aware that there may be some small bubbles and inperfections in the glass. The glass handle has been annealed in a microprocessor controlled kiln to improve toughness, and should outlast the brush!

All of the glass I sell is formed entirely by hand in my workshop, so each one is always slightly different, so are always getting a true one of a kind piece of artisan flamework, especially with this usual sea-inspired brush.
