Full description
Pendant made from a chips of the metallic natural mineral chalcopyrite encased in resin with a wire wrapped sterling silver bail.
This pendant features colourful, metallic chalcopyrite fragments in a clear epoxy resin long rectangle shape. Chalcopyrite is a natural copper iron sulphide mineral. It is similar in appearance to iron pyrite (fool's gold) but when exposed to air it oxidises to a greater range of colours. The colours in these chips vary from silver, brass, gold, orange and purples, although the predominant colour is brass.
The pendant has a bail made from twisted and wire wrapped sterling silver wire. The drop of the pendant, including bail, is approximately 5.5cm (2 1/4").
Due to the natural minerals contained, this is a one-of-a-kind (OOAK) pendant. I only have one of these for sale, as pictured. Your pendant will come to you in a handmade gift box as shown in the last picture.
