Snooze: 18" x 12" (46 x 30cm) giclée print on heavyweight archival 310gsm fine art velvet paper that has a vellum surface. Cropped as pictured.
As a photographer I'm always on the look out for great shots. I took this photograph one saturday morning when my partner and our cat were snoozing together - a favourite past time for them both. I had to just grab my camera and compose the shot quickly because our cat tends to move (or run) when he sees or hears a camera being readied.
I love the way his ginger fur contrasts with the blue duvet cover, how both heads line up in the frame and the shafts of morning sunlight in the top corner. I think the image captures something of the bliss of a saturday or sunday morning lie in. No alarm clock. No work. Just snooze.
I've had my supplier print this photograph on heavyweight archival 310gsm fine art velvet paper that has a vellum surface, which is a professional Fine Art material.
The quality of paper and print is far superior to what you'll get on the high street. I only wanted the best for this image.
Personally, I think it would make a great gift for any cat-lover or for someone who likes something a bit different and one of a kind. They can frame it as they wish to suit their own interior decor.
