Trajan's Column is a Roman triumphal column in Rome, Italy, which commemorates Roman emperor Trajan's victory in the Dacian Wars.
In the Summer of 2007 I visited Rome with my best friend from school. We spent three gorgeous days trawling the ruins, oohing and ahhing...and most importantly of all for me, taking hundreds and hundreds of photos!Here is a print of a photo I took while wandering around Rome. It was very difficult to restrain myself from photographing anything and everything - as it happens, I came away with 667 photographs...not a bad effort for 3 days!Lomography is a type of art photography in which color is emphasized. Traditionally, cameras such as the Holga, Lomo, Colorsplash, and Supersampler are used to create strange and unusual photographs. Lomographic photos are primarily characterized by vignettes (blurry and faded edges), random subjects, and nonadherance to traditional photography rules.
This print mimics the effect obtained by using any of the above cameras - I've manipulated it post-production, and the vignetting and colour contrast are both very pronounced, resulting in a very painterly feel to the photograph.This photo is printed on 220gsm canvas inkjet paper, giving the print a fabric feel. It is A4 size.
The print will be posted in a card-backed envelope, for added protection.
All proceeds from the sale of this item go towards sending my daughter to the 22nd World Scouting Jamboree, to be held in July, in Skåne, Sweden.
