Full description
Getting a diagnosis can be a long and difficult process. When I finally was given mine, I looked for an item of jewellery to commemorate it but couldn’t find anything in the UK.
One thing that I find helps to explain to people what it’s like to live with a chronic illness is The Spoon Theory* which is why I have included a mini spoon charm - so you always have a spare one on hand if needed!
Fibromyalgia’s symbol is a butterfly. I don’t know why, but I like to think it embodies our hope to eventually be able to fly away from our broken bodies.
The awareness colour is light purple. This is a lovely calming colour, which brings peace of mind and creativity.
The final charm is an awareness ribbon with the word hope written on it - something we all need.
This bracelet is made from small Czech fire polished beads in alexandrite and sugar plum. The larger beads are also Czech fire polished beads in alexandrite and alexandrite ab.
It’s finished off with a butterfly toggle clasp.
