I have made this fabric book for adult and little ones to share together. It measures 27cm x 18.5cm. The pages are made from unbleached cotton calico printed with original story and illustrations. Each pair of pages is lined with a lightweight interfacing to give the finished piece a good weight and structure. In addition there are numerous hand cut felt characters from my original pen and ink drawings. This would make a wonderful birthday or christening gift that could be enjoyed for years (even generations) to come.

It tells the story of 'Mouse', a little mouse who on awakening from a long sleep is hungry and can't find his dinner. He makes up his mind to ask his wise old friend, Badger (because he knows everything!). On his way to Badger's house Mouse meets many other familiar woodland faces some of whom are more helpful than others! Now don't worry, as I know some of you are at this point... I promise you a happy ending as Mouse not only makes it safely to Badger's house but finds his dinner too! -Phew!

Although the story is best suited to the under 5's it is important I emphasise this book is not suitable as toy, Mouse's tail is a strip of real suede and there are many little beads used as embellishments as well as the character's eyes. It is a book for adult and child to share and explore together and small children should not be left alone with it due to the small parts used. There are ten pairs of pages (back and front) in total, the book is securely bound with hand-stitching in such a way that the pages open with ease. I have added a decorative spine so the completed book has a finished appearance.
