Full description
This is a piece of wood salvaged from a firewood pile on my farm! I think it makes a rather lovely bowl, what a shame it would have been to burn such a beautiful piece of wood.
The wood ranges in colour from rich red-brown to pale brown and even creamy white. There is a small bark inclusion on the inside of the bowl that adds a bit more character.
The bowl is hand turned from ash grown in England, so it is really rather durable. It would be tough enough to make a great change or key bowl, maybe a vessel to store your favourite sweets, or just an ornamental item.
The finish is food safe, however, with the natural bark edge, cleaning would not be easy, dry items are probably a safer bet.
