Mortimer puppy dog loves to play catch!
This listing is for patterns for you to knit your own Mortimer puppy and beach ball. The patterns include instructions and lots of photos to help you.
Please note that this is not a listing for a finished item. This listing is for the knitting patterns only.
The 11 page pattern is written so it is easier for beginners to follow. You will need to be able to do the following stitches/techniques: Knit, purl, cast on and off, sew seams, increases, decreases, change colours, short rows (some instructions are included in the pattern to help you).
All pieces are knitted flat on straight needles.
Finished Size: Dog 13 cm tall; Ball 4 cm wide
Materials and equipment needed:
Mortimer Puppy -
- 3 mm straight needles
- 100g alpaca wool in brown and 25g in light brown
- Black wool to embroider eyes and nose
- Toy stuffing/filling approximately 100g
- Brown felt fabric (approximately 5cm x 5cm square) to make foot pads (optional)
Ball -
- 3 mm straight needles
- 20g double knit wool in white and 20g in blue
- Toy stuffing/filling approximately 10g
You will also need a tapestry needle to sew all the knitted pieces together. You can choose different yarns and needle sizes to those suggested above to make your own original creations.
The patterns will be emailed to you in pdf format within 3 days of cleared payment, although I do endeavour to send your pattern to you within 24 hours of payment. I only accept Paypal payments. Payment needs to be made within 3 days of purchase. If you have trouble receiving your pattern by email please let me know. Please can you also check your junk mail folders.
