Full description
I have made a number of simple bags with one handle/strap that is long enough to go across your body. I love designing bags but I also love designing appliques and I often get carried away with the process. So I thought if I make simple bags I can exercise my applique obsession without it all looking a bit over the top.
So here we have my lovely applique bag that is filled with interesting elements to feel and look at. I have used trims and tiny beads in my design to make it just that bit more yummy! If you look very carefully in my second photo you will see that the beads say 'My Girl'. (It might make a cute Valentine's Day gift).
I love the selve edge strip that I have used- I thought this made an excellent and fun education tool, It helps with counting, number recognition as well as colour. Of course I'm not saying this bag is limited to young girls, we are all young at heart.
I said the mushroom would make an appearance again, this time I have stiched touchy feely French knots onto it.
I think all of this equals a little bit of lovely fun!
My bag measures approx 23cms/9inches across X 23cms/9inches in length.
The strap measures approx 105.5cms/41.5inches in length.
It is lined in a beautiful floral cotton and fastens with velcro.
