Full description
This is a set of 4 limited edition Photographic Art ACEOs. Each ACEO can also be bought separately and are limited editions (of 15). The availability of the set is dependant upon the availability of the individual ACEOs that make up the set.
ABOUT THE IMAGES:
Socialist Mural:
This mural, featuring common socialist themes, can be found in the historic centre of Dresden, on the side of the Palace of Culture, built by the socialist government in 1969.
Ampelmännchen:
The image is of the Ampelmännchen – the iconic traffic symbol of East Berlin and one of the few features of communist East Germany to have survived.
Berlin Wall:
The image is of a preserved section of the Berlin Wall. The graffiti on the wall reads ‘The first gap in the Berlin Wall was created on this spot in 1989’.
Lenin:
The image is of a wall plaque of Lenin on the side of a building off Wilhelmstraße in East Berlin.
WHAT IS AN ACEO?
ACEO is an acronym for Art Cards Editions and Originals. They are miniature collectable works of art measuring 3.5" (8.89cm) x 2.5" (6.35cm).
CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY
A Certificate of Authenticity is printed on the back of each ACEO – see photograph for an example. This consists of the Title, Artist, Production Date, and Edition Number (e.g. 1 of 15). Each one will be signed by the artist.
MATERIALS
Images are printed on thick, 230gsm matt finish brilliant white professional photo paper, which is FSC Certified.
The images are printed using HP Vivera pigment inks offering long-term fade resistance, lasting the equivalent of 200+ years in test conditions.
Each ACEO is also signed with pigment ink so that the signature of the Artist will not fade.
Each ACEO will come in a clear, acid free, polypropylene sleeve (3 5/8" (9.3cm) X 2 5/8" (6.7cm)) which the ACEO can be safely stored in if you wish to do so.
PACKAGING:
Your ACEOs will be packaged in a protective sleeve (described above) and will be posted in a hard-back envelope, by first class Royal Mail.
