Full description
Primrose Cottage is a needle felted landscape on a background of hand felted merino fibres with lovely white silk clouds and hill in the distance.
The drystone wall and sheep are needle felted by hand with a little bit of stitch for added detail. The primroses are made up of French knots.
The background hill is made from hand dyed sheep wool from the Orkney Island of North Ronaldsay.
This needle felted art work is inspired by the remote areas of Scotland and Ireland where little cottages stand alone with just a few sheep for company.
All my work is made by hand with love and care in my own cottage in rural Fife.
The piece comes ready mounted in a double thick, quality mount. Mount measures 21x30cm with a 12x17cm aperture. Comes wrapped in cellophane for protection.
