This pretty little flower is all glass so will never fade or wilt!
Inside a disc of optically clear borosilicate glass I have formed a white and turquoise blue flower by melting glass directly in a superhot propane & oxygen flame. I have also put a thin layer of a special glass that makes a glitter behind the flower to catch the light - this is also INSIDE the glass along with the flower - this is not a transfer or picture painted on but a real 3d object! The front is domed to act as a magnifiyer lens.
After carefully and gently forming it was then annealed in a digitaly controlled kiln to help improve toughness (although it's still glass so throwing it around is not advised!)
The disc is about 28mm in diameter and about 13mm thick at the widest part. A loop of glass was formed on the top to act as a hanger, and I've added a 29inch ribbon & couple of my handmade beads if you want to wear as it is, or you can add to your own design jewellery as a focal bead!
