Full description

Would you like to knit your 5-a-day?

This listing is for patterns for you to knit your own fruit and vegetables. The patterns include:

- Peas in a peapod

- Tomato

- Baby carrot

- Apple

- Pear

- Orange

- and a basket to carry them

The patterns include instructions and lots of photos to help you make your own picnic. Please note that this is not a listing for a finished item. This listing is for the knitting patterns only.

As the fruit and vegetables only require small amounts of yarn, this is an ideal pattern for using up the ends of balls of wool.

You could make them for decoration, dolls houses or toy boxes. Or you could make a picnic for your other toys.

The pattern is my own design. It is 15 pages, printed in colour, and includes instructions, step by step construction photos and lots of finished photo shots to help you.

The pattern is written so it is easier for beginners to follow. You will need to be able to do the following stitches/techniques: Knit, purl, cast on & off, i-cord, sewing seams, increases & decreases

All pieces are knitted flat on straight needles except the i-cord pieces which are knitted on two double pointed needles.

The sizes of the fruit and vegetables vary between 3cm and 10cm, and the basket is 8cm long, 6cm wide and 6cm high (including handles).

Materials needed include: Straight needles, Double pointed needles, Toy stuffing, Tapestry needle

POSTAGE & PAYMENT

The patterns will be mailed to you by first class post within 3 working days of cleared payment, although I do endeavour to send your pattern to you as quickly as possible.

I prefer Paypal payments, but also accept personal cheques or postal orders.
