** please note this is not a listing for a finished item**
This listing is for a detailed and clearly illustrated PDF knitting pattern for my originally designed hand-knit cakes (which have been featured in Period Living, Let's Knit, Quick and Crafty and several other publications)
This pattern is suitable for intermediate knitting skills though if you’re not keen on seaming you might find that this pattern is not for you. It is knitted flat in two pieces so there are a couple of seams and a bit of sewing up to construct it. I’ve described exactly how I pick up stitches and close seams and included detailed pictures which help to illustrate this clearly. This pattern has been tweaked many times over the last 5 years and 400 odd cakes that I’ve made from it but I think I‘m finally content with it! I hope you find it fun to do and are pleased with your finished cake.
Finished size: approx 6cm (2 ½ inches) high
The pattern is supplied by email in PDF format so you will need adobe reader to open the file. It is an original, copyrighted design so please do not reproduce or distribute without first obtaining permission.
Items knitted from this pattern can be sold solely for charity fundraising purposes but please do not knit up for commercial purposes.
