Full description
This is a gocco print of an original drawing of a wren done by my own fair hands! My mother found this book in a shop smelling of mould and damp and old men. The man behind the counter was closing down so she snapped it up for me.
It features an image of a wren hand drawn in ink by me and then translated onto a screen for printing.
Wrens are very active birds, especially in spring when male wrens will build several nests before the female chooses which one to use. The wren is a tiny brown bird. It is dumpy, almost rounded, with a fine bill, quite long legs and toes, very short round wings and a short, narrow tail which is sometimes cocked up vertically. For such a small bird it has a remarkably loud voice.
measures 7.5 inches by 4.57 inches or 192mm x120mm for the metrically minded!
