Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!

Brain slug attack!

Use this pattern to create a horde of brain slugs to menace your friends and family or knit up a super quick costume for Halloween. Just attach your brain slug to a hairband or alligator grip and tadaaaa - an instant costume!

Choose from:

Jelly frill brain slug

Wobbly bottom brain slug

and two eye styles (wide open and half closed) to create the alien fiend of your dreams.

The ButterflyLove Brain Slug pdf knitting pattern gives you clear step by step instructions and handy hints along the way. This pattern is suitable for a beginner/intermediate knitter and both styles of brain slug are knitted flat.

What you will need:

2 knitting needles (US3 or size required to match tension advice)

2 knitting needles (US2 or size required to match tension advice)

10-20g of green yarn

Oddment of white yarn

One plastic toy safety eye (9mm) or scrap of black yarn

Acrylic toy stuffing (polyfil)

Small square of cardboard (for wobbly base brain slug only)

1 tapestry needle for sewing up

Skills used:

Casting on and off

Increasing and decreasing

Stitches used:

Stocking stitch
