Full description
This is a rugged yet peaceful landscape of water, trees and mountains.
The background is a pale cream silk and the whole design is woven in from gold and a black thread which has iridescence of green and pink.
The silk is unpicked from a vintage (1950-60) Japanese kimono and mounted between wooden rods with hand-turned finials. The hanging cord is a spiral of gold and silver.
The size is 25.5" x 17" overall (65 x 44 cms) and the fabric area is 21" x 13.5" (53 x 35 cms)
