ABOUT THE IMAGE
In the shadows of Cologne Cathedral, couples attach padlocks engraved with their names, to the Hohenzollern Bridge, as a symbol of their love and commitment to each other. Although once threatened with removal by the operators of the bridge, the ‘Love Locks’ have now become a tourist attraction in their own right, with such great public support as to make their removal unthinkable.
