This is suitable for a second stranded knitting garment. There are several pages of notes about choosing colours and some notes on the construction, but it assumes you have some experience of colour work.
Materials
The vest will actually weigh about 200 (220, 260, 300, 350, 400, 500, 600) g
set of 3 mm and 3.5 mm (US 3 and 4) double pointed needles or circs
Colours for the photographed vest use Jamieson’s Spindrift. Suggestions for other colour schemes are given using Spindrift and Jamieson and Smith’s 2 ply jumper weight.
Suggestions about how to go about choosing your own colourway are also given.
Sizes:
to fit chest 32, 35, 38, 42, 46, 48, 54, and 60 ins. Lengths are 23 to 28 ins, and are easily adjustable.
Note that every size is properly designed. The larger sizes use extra pattern motifs and repeats of the motifs on the vest shown. There are no acres of 4 st repeats!!

27 stitches and 34 rows to 4 ins over stocking stitch after washing and dressing
