This flower is really 3d, not a picture, but formed INSIDE solid glass!
Just under 25mm (about 1 inch) in diameter (not including the loop) and 17mm at the thickest part I've made this by melting glass directly in a superhot propane and oxygen flame.
There are three 'tubular' style white flowers in this, each with blue stiped markings. Around the flowers (and not easy to see in photos) I've put some more blue & white petals and stalks of green 'grass' to help add to the 3d effect! I've also put a few bubbles on the flower to give the impression of dew.
On the back of the pendant I've put a 'splash' pattern of an exciting glass that gives wonderful green-blues tones. The back isn't entirely covered (to let more light in) but the optics of this pendant makes it look from the front as if it does!
I've formed some of the glass into a loop which gives a hole suitable for cord/chain/thong/ribbon about 2mm. If you'd like me to add a cord please convo me with lengths as I can add some high quality black Greek leather cord with 925 silver findings for around £3.50 extra if you'd like it 'ready to wear.' Otherwise this would be ideal to add to your own creations as a focal bead.
The glass is borosilicate, and fully annealed in a microprocessor controlled kiln. Every pendant I make is always slightly different so a one off, and has been made entirely by hand by lampwork in my studio in the heart of the English countryside.
