Bloomsbury Elephant loves to bake cakes for his friends at the zoo; today it is sticky buns for everyone!
This listing is for patterns for you to knit your own Bloomsbury Elephant and little cakes. The patterns include instructions and lots of photos to help you make your own little friends.
Please note that this is not a listing for a finished item. This listing is for the knitting patterns only.
The pattern is 12 pages and written so it is easier for beginners to follow. You will need to be able to do the following stitches/techniques: knit, purl, casting on and off, sewing seams, increases and decreases, changing colours, i-cord and short rows. Lots of tips and instructions are included in the pattern to help you.
All pieces are knitted flat on straight needles except the elephant’s tail which is i-cord knitted on two double pointed needles.
Finished Size: Elephant 14cm tall, Cakes 4cm wide
Materials and equipment needed:
- 3 mm straight needles and two 3mm double pointed needles
- For the elephant - Double knit wool 100g grey, 10g white, and black wool to embroider eyes
- For the cakes - Double knit wool 10g each of white, light brown and red
- Toy stuffing/filling approximately 100g
You will also need a tapestry needle to sew all the knitted pieces together.
You can choose different yarns and needle sizes to those suggested above to make your own original elephant and buns.
The patterns will be emailed to you in pdf format within 3 days of cleared payment, although I do endeavour to send your pattern to you within 24 hours of payment. I only accept Paypal payments. Payment needs to be made within 3 days of purchase. If you have trouble receiving your pattern please let me know. Please can you also check your junk mail folders.
