Hi, welcome to my shop, Marilynscreativethreads. My current work is inspired by antique buttons which I use as a starting point to make a range of statement brooches, combined with antique lace and embroidery threads, using a wool felt or Harris Tweed base. I'm particularly interested in the history of these items and enjoy repurposing them into a stunning brooch that can be worn on a coat, plain dress or hat. I use 1930s themed photographs to display my work at craft fairs.
I can make to order and also have a range of bridal corsages.
My handmade greetings cards use vintage fabrics, buttons and embroidery on white or cream linen card with matching envelopes. I also have a range of hand stitched embroidery hoops ready to hang on your wall and mixed media collage.
