These earrings are part of a moon collection. I love mismatched earrings these are the third version of silver full moon and crescent moon earrings, the first were studs and the hoops and now with hooks. All handmade from recycled sterling silver, sometimes from bought recycled sterling silver and other times I melt my own scraps of silver and flatten to the correct thickness. The texture of the moons has been made by bashing the surface against concrete. these ones have been textured on both sides. The full moon measures 10mm (1cm) across and the crescent moon 11mm (1.1cm) in length. Both lengths do not include the rings to attach to the earring hooks. The full height of the earrings including the hooks is 29mm (2.9cm). These earrings are ready handmade and ready to post. Do allow for 1 - 3 days before being dispatched. Helen Burgess Jewellery, is literally just me Helen, I make jewellery from my shed studio in my back garden, my bedroom office and anywhere in the house in the evening. Much of my work is inspired by the nature of my home island of Mersea, near Colchester, Essex. As well as my love of simple design and textured metal surfaces. The materials I regularly make jewellery from are recycled sterling silver, recycled gold, sterling silver, copper, 14ct gold filled, and occasionally brass. Semi-precious stones, precious stones and beads are also featured in my work. Unfortunately due to new laws for a small business it is no longer workable without the threat of being fined to send my jewellery to the EU including Northern Ireland without a representative. Sending my work elsewhere in the world also seems increasingly more expensive and complicated for a one woman band to contend with. My deepest heartfelt apologies for this inconvenience.
