Helen Burgess Jewellery, is literally just me Helen, I make jewellery from my shed studio in my back garden, my bedroom office and anywhere in the house in the evening. Much of my work is inspired by the nature of my home island of Mersea, near Colchester, Essex. As well as my love of simple design and textured metal surfaces.
The materials I regularly make jewellery from are recycled sterling silver, recycled gold, sterling silver, copper, 14ct gold filled, and occasionally brass. Semi-precious stones, precious stones and beads are also featured in my work.
Unfortunately due to new laws for a small business it is no longer workable without the threat of being fined to send my jewellery to the EU including Northern Ireland without a representative. Sending my work elsewhere in the world also seems increasingly more expensive and complicated for a one woman band to contend with. My deepest heartfelt apologies for this inconvenience.

Full description
These earrings are super lightweight and as each element is lose they have a lovely swing to them as you move. Handmade from solid recycled sterling silver. Two 3.4cm by 2.7cm oval dangling below them are two 3.1cm poles. At the top of the earrings, the fittings are recycled sterling silver ball posts and recycled sterling silver butterfly scrolls.
The full length of the earrings is 7.6cm with the widest part being 2.7cm
These earrings come packaged in card and velvet like insert box finished with ribbon.

Recycled sterling silver has exactly the same qualities, strength, durability, shine as traditional mined silver, however it has been derived from silver that has lived another life and has been melted down and recycled. With these earrings I have bought the wire and earring fittings and solder to join the pieces together from a company who now sells mostly recycled sterling silver wire, sheet and chain etc for the jewellery trade.
