Profits will be donated to Toybox, a charity that works with street children across the globe to give them a better quality of life. The amount donated will be stated on the item.
I started raising money for Toybox on 25th August 2023, and to date £300.53 has been raised by my lovely Folksy customers, £236.03 of which was transferred to Toybox between 20/11/23 and 9/12/24.

I first started making bookmarks using patterns from the wonderful beading tutorial supplier ‘ThreadaBead’. I liked the size of their small bookmark patterns but wanted to try some designs of my own, and this is one of them.

Please note that, as the beads are glass they will break if crushed, so should be kept away from small children and situations where this might happen.

Full description
A neat little bookmark which would make a lovely gift for a teacher, or as a small ‘thank-you’ present. It is small and thin enough to be slipped inside a card. Please note that it is smaller in size than many bookmarks, measuring 9.5cms (3.75ins) length from point to point, and 2.5cms (1in) wide.
The bookmark is beadwoven, made from glass delica seed beads which have been stitched together. The pattern is double sided so that it looks the same on both sides. The design is my own: three colourful butterflies on a pale green background. I have not stiffened the beadwork at all, so the bookmark is fairly flexible.
Please note that, as the beads are glass they will break if crushed, so should be kept away from small children and situations where this might happen.
WHEN YOU BUY THIS ITEM £2 WILL BE DONATED TO TOYBOX, A CHARITY HELPING STREET CHILDREN ACROSS THE GLOBE. This amount is calculated by subtracting materials and admin costs from the price of the item. I do not charge for my time in making it.
