This wading curlew is painted with artists acrylics and is finished with a soft white mount. I paint in the same style as my carved birds so I try to catch the character of the bird but you will not see feather perfect detail. The mount size is 7" x 9" . This painting has been mounted in a John Lewis frame with overall size of 8" x10"approx. It can be wall hung or freestanding.

Curlews are one of my favourite birds so I just had to try one on paper while I am out of carving action.

Everything is so incredibly stunning! I can't help but smile every time I see the lovely birds. Both me and my dad said it's like they're alive, haha. The spirit of the animal is truly captured in each piece, and it's just a wonder to behold. If I were rich and had plenty of space, I'd fill a house with these beautiful birds!
