I wanted to design a special gift that could be personalised which relates to home. I designed the cushion cover with the daffodil for that reason but decided the alternative national flowers might be a useful addition.

Full description
This is an 8 page knitting PATTERN for a 35cm x 35cm (14ins x 14ins) cushion cover. The pattern is written as colour charts and written instructions in standard UK knitting terminology. The cushion cover is knitted in separate pieces: front, back, upper back flap and edging then sewn together. There is a blank chart provided for you to plot a personalisation to use on the front. The national flower of Wales, the daffodil, features on the front chart. Substitute charts are provided for the national flowers of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
The chart for the front is provided in two formats: 1 x A3 (11 x 17) and 2 x A4 (8.5 x 11). If you have an A3 printer set your print size to "same as PDF" then page 4 should automatically print on A3 paper. If you do not have an A3 printer but want a larger format you can print pages 5 and 6 on A4 paper then join them together.
Materials required: 1 pair 3.25mm knitting needles, darning (sewing up) needle.
A 35cm/14ins cushion pad and 5 buttons.
Rowan Cotton Glace 100% cotton: 3 x 50g Shoot (green); 2 x 50g Ecru (cream), less than 10g of remaining 12 shades. Tension 23sts x 32 rows.
You can buy a knitting kit for this cushion cover in my Folksy shop which provides you with sufficient yarn to knit and sew it up.
