Kite flying is a great way to lose yourself in the moment - feel the breeze and connect with sky! Flat packed and easy to transport; each kite fits conveniently in an A3 envelope, making for an excellent gift. Every kite comes packaged with a string and handle and is ready to go. I started making kites over 30 years ago using bamboo. Bamboo is the perfect material for kites as it is strong and flexible (and sustainable), the Chinese knew this when they first developed kites thousands of years ago as a way to send messages on the battlefield. Now there are a vast array of kite designs around the world and I mainly take my inspiration from Asian Pacific designs. Originally kite sails were made using paper which is fragile and not the best for the UK climate, I use a material which can be worked and painted like paper but is waterproof and extremely durable.
