This gorgeous primitive display piece makes a gorgeous addition to your spring decor.
It consists of a vintage fluted tin, containing lovely handmade pieces. Sitting in the shredded paper nest, is a golden primitive chick, made from boiled wool, giving them a lovely textural appearance. Each chick sits on a vintage wooden cotton reel, which has been decorated with vintage quilt , button and twine, which means it can be displayed outside of the tin as a separate, stand alone piece. The tin also contains an Easter quilted egg, with tied jute string.
The vintage quilt used may have some signs of wear commensurate with its age, which only adds to the charm of the finished pieces. Please do not buy if you prefer your vintage fabrics to be perfect.
The whole piece is finished off with a hand written label, ‘Springtime’.
The tin measures 14cm diameter across the top x 6cm height.
