About this item
This 20cm x 20cm canvas print depicts a section of the Southwell Trail in Nottinghamshire. I completed the original painting in oils from a series of photographs taken during the height of last summer. Locals may recognise that it shows the point where the trail crosses the River Greet.

The painting shows the Southwell trail on a particularly hot day last summer. I was inspired by the saturated colours of the foliage and the bright strips of light crossing the path.
