Goth meets Steampunk - my mismatched stitching kits are stuffed with rich fabrics and trims in purples, greens and black, offset with hints of antique gold and cream. Perfectly imperfect - the same standard as my curated kits, these are made up from a mix of fabrics and trims left over from themes that have now sold out. Your box will include a piece of calico fabric for a foundation to sew into, needles and pins, and my introduction to slow stitching leaflet and stitching guide (you can swap this for an emailed copy plus extra textiles - see options). Available in 2 sizes, in your box you will find a foundation fabric cut from vintage black denim jeans, plus a piece of grey or cream canvas that can be used as an accent, or as a foundation for a smaller project. The decorative fabrics and trims in each box will vary - the photos show some examples - raw silk from an old wedding dress - silk ribbons - offcuts from the sari manufacturing industry - floral cotton prints from preloved clothes or offcuts from patchwork projects - a scrap of antique Welsh quilt - different coloured pieces of lace - vintage, reclaimed and deadstock - crocheted lace - velvet and satin ribbons - metallic and beaded braids - faux leather and silky cords - hand-dyed linen yarn and fluffy yarns - embroidery thread in different colours - pre-loved buttons
