Toy, Pirate matching pairs memory game in felt, UKCA safety tested

Pairs of Pirates - this fun matching memory game is perfect for playing at home or taking on your travels, as the fabric and felt tiles store safely away in a little pouch that will fit easily in your bag. With large 3.5-inch squares that are easy to handle, this would be a lovely Christmas or birthday gift for preschoolers, but I think older kids will want to play with it too. Pairs, a traditional game, develops short-term memory skills and observation and attention skills, as a child turns over a square at a time and tries to remember where they saw the matching image. 16 squares in total, made up of 8 pairs of themed images, including pirates, treasure islands, ships with the Jolly Roger flag, and maps. Each image is fussy-cut from quality quilting cotton fabric and securely sewn to sea and sand coloured wool felt, before being stitched to a black wool felt backing. Some pairs are similar to another pair - for example, there are pairs of islands that look similar, and the maps are tricky too. These subtle differences allow the game to have different levels of complexity. At the easiest level, all the tiles can be placed face up, and the child is encouraged to try and spot something specific - perhaps a boat with a blue sail. The most difficult level would be all 16 tiles placed face down, in a random order, using memory to find exact matches. Easy-to-use instructions will be emailed after ordering. The drawstring storage bag is made from quilting cotton and is fully lined with pirate-themed motifs stitched to both the front and back. Approx 7 by 5 inches (18 by 13 cm). The exact paired images, the colours of the felt and the images on the bag may vary. Fully toy tested, and made from 100 percent natural materials, this fun game is soft and fabulously tactile as well as good for the environment. CARE: gentle hand washing and natural flat drying are recommended to prevent the wool felt from shrinking.
