Formerly 'Buttons, Beads and Blanket Stitch'.
My work predominantly comprises hand cut and burnished lino prints, with sewing playing an occasional part.
Whether working in print or in stitch, I am inspired by the natural world and the people around me, with words/text frequently playing an integral part.
* I endeavour to represent my pieces as clearly and with colours as true to life as possible, however some slight variations in tone between the image on screen and the piece itself may occur.*
This print celebrates the beginnings of spring, with all of the freshness, brightness and feelings of hope that it brings.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

The starting point for this print was the welcome sight of the returning primroses in my garden and a definite feeling of the beginnings of spring.
On from my initial sketches, my final design was transferred onto lino which I hand cut and then hand burnished onto a gorgeous off-white Japanese HoSho paper. The paper measures approx. 28cm x 39.5cm, with the printed image itself measuring approx. 15 x 20cm.
The print comprises a base layer of two ‘sweeps’ of primrose yellow, over which is printed the main floral image in a mid green, reflecting the colour of the plant’s foliage.
Each of this open edition is numbered, titled, signed and dated 2021 and having been printed by hand, slight variations from print to print will occur; such is the beauty of a unique, hand crafted piece.
Your print will be posted to you wrapped in tissue and rolled within a cardboard tube. On its arrival, remove the print from the tube and allow it time to unfurl. (Lying the print on a flat surface under a heavy book may help to speed up the flattening process – do not be tempted to roll the print in the opposite way as this will almost certainly result in creasing and possibly damaging the print).
