Handmade silver earrings, pointing finger, printmaking, vintage retro look

These pointing finger, 'This way, That way' earrings are made from solid sterling silver. Over the years we have been inspired by letterpress and wood block printing type face sets and have used these numerous times in our jewellery and in other creative projects. The idea for these particular earrings came from some large, antique wooden letterpress printing blocks depicting a pointing finger. The sterling silver has been embossed with an image and stamped by hand with punches decorate the background. The earrings are blackened by oxidisation and then they are highly polished to create a strong shiny contrast against the black details. The earrings measure 17mm x 43mm and the total drop length, including ear wires is 67mm. We hand make the ear wires from sterling silver ourselves . We also make a matching pointing finger brooch to go with the earrings. We have exhibited and sold our jewellery through quality Craft and Design centres and Art galleries throughout the U.K. for many years and also sell through the Dazzle contemporary jewellery exhibitions. These contemporary earrings have been finished with a clear, protective coating to prevent tarnishing and they come in one of our quality, branded gift boxes. Materials, sterling silver.
