After a few false starts I learned to stitch around rivolis from the excellent tutorial from Deborah Roberti at ‘Around the Beading Table’. Once this was mastered it was just a case of being creative and adding embellishments. I love this starburst effect and have tried it with several different colours.

Full description
This little pendant is not much more than an inch in diameter. So it is ideal for anyone who doesn’t like big pieces of jewellery. Nevertheless the colours are bold and bright and it is full of sparkle; ideal to wear on a hot day with a pretty summer dress or for an evening party under the lights. No less than 35 tiny orange Swarovski bicone crystals are stitched around a matching pretty Swarovski rivoli. Each crystal has an AB coating, meaning that one side of each bicone has been covered with a thin metallic coating. This gives the crystals a lovely iridescent shimmer. The crystals are stitched in two layers for a starburst effect. The rivoli makes a striking centerpiece as its pointed shape, front and back, gives it depths in which the gold of the tiny surround of seed beads is reflected. The piece is strung on a gold plated snake chain. This could be exchanged for a longer chain at a small extra cost if required although, depending on the length you require, this could delay me sending you the piece for a few days. The colour of the crystals is known as Sun.
The pendant is 3cms (1.2ins) in diameter, approximately 5mm (0.2ins) thick and is suspended on a 40.6cms (16ins) snake chain. The chain is approximately 1.5mm (0.06ins) thick.
The pendant will be sent wrapped in acid-free tissue paper in a pillow gift box.
